| Max has lived a mundane life as a
cab driver for twelve years. The faces have come and gone
from his rear-view mirror: people and places he's long since
forgotten--until tonight. Vincent is a contract killer. When
an off-shore narco-trafficking cartel learns that they're
about to be indicted by a federal grand jury, they mount an
operation to identify and kill the key witness, and the last
stage is tonight. It is on this very night that Vincent has
arrived--and five bodies are supposed to fall. Circumstances
cause Vincent to hijack Max' taxicab, and Max becomes collateral--an
expendable person who's in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Through the night, Vincent forces Max to drive him to each
assigned destination. And as the L.A.P.D. and F.B.I. race
to intercept them, Max and Vincent's survival become dependent
on each other, in ways neither would have imagined.

The latest Dreamworks release, Collateral premiered tonight
the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles. The movie stars Tom Cruise
& Jada Pinkett Smith were there along with a host of other
stars including, Mohamad Ali, Carrie-Ann Moss, Meatloaf &
fiance Deborah Gillespie, Diana Ross, Alicia Silverstone,
Molly Sims, Catherine Bell & Poppy Montgomery. Jada Pinkett
Smith was accompanied by her mother and brother, who she posed
with happily for red carpet photographers. Collateral is a
Thriller/Action movie combined with a carefully plotted drama
and crime element. Its a hostage story about a cab driver
who gets hijacked by a hitman and forced to be his personal
chauffeur for the evening as he goes about his 'killing' rounds.
The movie, as you can imagine from its storyline, is maximum
violence which earned it an R (18+) Rating. For a movie with
a $60 000 000 budget, it seems a bit silly to us to exclude
the largest movie-going audience for the sake of a few extra
spurts of fake blood. Its worth a look (if you are over 18
of course) - starting this week in cinemas everywhere!

Collateral Trivia
Heavy Metal group, Alice In Chains wrote and sung the intro
track for the movie, "Man In Chains". Adam Sandler,
Val Kilmer, Russell Crowe and Hans Zimmer were all considered
for roles in the film but 1 was replaced and the other 2 had
scheduling conflicts!
